Clinical Development and Innovation Plattform

During Days 1 & 2 participants will get insights into the clinical routine, different diseases in the field of cardiovascular, oncology and musculoskelatal diseases. Based on the medical needs, own translational projects will be developed in interactive work groups. The necessary preclinical and clinical knowledge, such as metaanlysis, statistics, study design, biomarkers, manufacturing and approval with a focus on ATMPs will also be taught.

On Days 3 & 4 participants will have a chance to get acquainted with business-related aspects and concepts of translation, especially in the fields of intellectual property, business formation, market landscape and economics. Invited speakers include an experienced patent attorney, two entrepreneurs and a big-pharma representative. Participants will have a chance to hear these professionals and ask them questions.

On the practical side participants will learn how to strategize on IP matter, how to approach questions related to patient population and market size, and will learn how to sketch a business model canvas.
